December 3rd, 2017
Sunday, December 3rd
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:27-28
We firmly believe that children are a blessing from God and are incredibly important to him, therefore we love to celebrate them as a good gift of God. In addition, children come with a huge amount of responsibility. Quite simply, they need parents who are committed to modeling and helping them become godly men and women who trust and treasure Jesus above all else.
REGISTER ONLY YOUR CHILD BEING DEDICATED not the parents or siblings and select your service preference by Sunday, November 19th. We will ask questions about your child and for the Bible verse that you will read over your child at their dedication. You will receive an email confirmation immediately and a follow-up email from Heather Thompson by Friday, December 1st.
- When asked "Who are you registering for this event?" please select "Family or Friend"
- You will receive an email link to login & continue registration
- Select ONLY the child's name and service time
- Click next and continue to the questions
Later in November we will email you the five questions that serve as the commitments you are being asked to make. We believe all of them are biblical and essential to faithful Christian parenting. Please look for those to come your way along with important details for December 3rd.

Please register anyone attending the class and indicate through registration any childcare needs.
The two week Partnership Class takes place over the course of two Sundays: February 4th and 11th, 2pm-4:30pm (both weeks required).

Covenant Partnership at The Paradox is a commitment to the mission of God through the local church and participation in gospel friendships. The two week partnership class is first step towards becoming a covenant partner at The Paradox.
"God’s plan for his church is that we would belong to a local covenant community of faith. This is for our own protection and maturation, and for the good of others.” – Matt Chandler
Read this article by Matt Chandler on the importance of church membership.
As God’s covenant people we are unified under this vision that God has for us. And then, together, we covenant to love and serve and disciple each other to that end. Partnership is less a membership at a club, but more a loving commitment to one another. Even through the messiness of our sin, differences, and selfishness, we help each other navigate the mess of our hearts as Jesus does his gracious work in and through us.
- The two-week class is the beginning of the Partnership Process. An interview with a church leader and then elder confirmation follow the class.
- If you have any questions please email Daniel Reynolds (firstname.lastname@example.org).
March 9th - March 18th, 2018
The vision and plan of God is that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord” (Hab. 2:14). So we are committed to raising up men and women to be missionaries internationally that the glory of God would be known to unreached people groups.
We do this by sending and supporting missionaries short and long term, reaching out to people from the nations that have come to Fort Worth, partnering with works internationally to help them reach people around them with the gospel, and going to Brazil each Spring Break.
The past two years we have sent groups of men and women to Brazil to work with an organization we partner with, Restore Brazil. Through Restore Brazil we have been introduced to a particular church in a town about three hours north of Rio de Janeiro called Macae. In 2016 we began our partnership with Community Baptist Church of Macaé and have seen great fruit from that relationship.
We partner with an existing organization (Restore Brazil) through a local church (Community Baptist) to see the gospel have a long, lasting presence in the communities of Brazil. We do this by working in the favelas (slums) doing after school clubs for elementary aged children, having worship gatherings in public places with an emphasis on bringing others in, and beach evangelism.
If you are interested in this trip go ahead and sign up! We will contact you shortly after you register and get you more information on this trip. If you have questions, please email Jake Ledet (email@example.com) and he will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Baptism Class - Spring 2018
April 8th, 2018
If you haven't been baptized as a believer, then you should join us at this class on April 8th!
If you recently met Jesus and became a Christian or you have not been baptized as a Christian, be baptized! This class does not obligate you to be baptized but allows you to explore and learn the meaning of baptism and be affirmed as a baptism candidate. All you need to bring is your bible!
The class will be held at the church offices at 910 Collier St. Fort Worth, TX 76102 (parking on streets is free, the entrance is on Collier St. and the offices are the first set of double doors on the 2nd floor). Lunch will be provided.
The class is required to be baptized at our next baptism celebration, which will be on May 6th at Trinity Park Pavlion! We will celebrate together in one big service at 10am.
*We will have an age appropriate presentation for children who are wanting to be baptized. Please let us know if you have a child under the age of 12 desiring to be baptized.
